Believe – v. – To have the confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so.
As 2021 comes to a close, what do you look back on and remember? Have you lost someone? Have you gained someone? Have you had happiness? Sadness?
Pain can be a touchstone of healing, a wakeup call. It can be used as an excuse for a victim mentality that leads to perpetual suffering. I have seen both in others and experienced both in myself. What do you choose?
As you look forward, what do you see? Success? Failure? “Jeremy, aren’t you supposed to predict what will happen?” I am sorry I am afraid not. The best I can do, is to help guide you. Working to put the odds in your favor. Using the rules of today, maintaining flexibility, instead of worrying about what might never be. Did you think…” Yes but…??” If so, reflect on the time-honored Serenity Prayer:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
What does this have to do with finances?
What is your part?

Read the Serenity Prayer again and you tell me.
Faith and Fear force each of us to choose in believing in the invisible.
I ask myself these same questions, make my choice, and step forward.

On the lighter side, we went to my mom’s for Christmas Eve. She had the most wonderful dinner prepared. Honey Baked ham, oyster pie, shrimp and grits, sweet potato souffle, and butter beans. We stayed there and then went to the Biltmore House in Ashville, NC. It was beautiful. We did a salt cave meditation and a massage on Monday.
Went to the doctor for a checkup. I have high cholesterol. Part of that is diet and part of that is genetics. Guess which one I have control over?
Hope all is well with you and your family,
Jeremy
