Our Focus Is Your Best Life
Putting clients first and foremost, which includes ensuring no conflicts of interest exist, is why we founded Riverbend. We want you and your loved ones to live a life filled with peace, joy, and happiness — something that isn’t measured solely by the number of digits in your net worth. Our focus is helping you put more life in your years.
Hello! And Welcome to Riverbend Wealth Management
Meet the Team

Jeremy Finger
Founder
I grew up in small town of Nichols, SC, about an hour from Myrtle Beach. I spent many days riding bikes or fishing with my dad in the rivers and ponds in the area (hence the name Riverbend).
My dad would watch the stock market when he came home from work. I was curious and started asking questions. This inspired me to make my first investment before I was 12 years old.
I went the College of Charleston, where I focused my studies in biology, chemistry, and business. After graduating in 1996, I was fortunate to be hired as a financial advisor.
I married way above myself, when Iren said “I do” in 2001. In 2004, we were blessed with Elliott, our only child, who’s an avid tennis player and hopes to play college tennis like his mom.
I was the assistant coach of the Myrtle Beach High School tennis team, when in 2019, after the passing of our legendary head coach Rivers Lynch, I became interim head coach. The Myrtle Beach Seahawks rallied in the playoffs and won the state championship. It was such as honor to see these young men play so inspired, for a man who was known simply by the name, Coach.
Our family enjoys traveling. We travel to Iren’s home country of Bulgaria once a year. Elliott is fluent in Bulgarian. Me? Not so much.
Bought first stock, IBM at 12

Growing up in a small town near the Poconos in northeastern Pennsylvania, I understand the value of a dollar and the rewards that can come from hard work and discipline. I attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a bachelor of arts and a dual degree in business and economics. I later earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation (CFP®) from the College of Financial Planning.
I’ve spent the last 28 years in the financial services industry and have been fortunate to work for some great companies — Charles Schwab, US Bank as a portfolio manager in its Wealth Management group, and most recently as a vice president and financial consultant for Fidelity Investments. With each company, my focus was on working with high-net-worth clients, responding to their financial and investment planning needs.
I’ve been married for 25 years to my wife Patti, have two stepsons, and five grandkids with one on the way. I enjoy fitness, golfing, boating, and cruising.
My first investment was the Janus Fund in 1987 while in college, using money from my summer job.

Have More Questions?
No Problem. Read the FAQs.
Yes — and it’s a big one. Fee-only advisors (like us) only earn money through the fees clients pay, ensuring the advice you receive from us is always in your best interest. Fee-based advisors make money from client fees as well as commissions and brokerage fees — which presents potential conflicts of interest.
A fiduciary is a person who holds a legal or ethical relationship of trust with you. The fiduciary standard of care — which we abide by — requires that financial advisors act solely in their clients’ best interest when offering personalized financial advice.
Those who have earned CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification (CFP® certification) have met extensive training and experience requirements, and commit to the CFP Board’s ethical standards that require them to put their clients’ interests first. In addition, a CFP has advanced training in retirement, estate and tax planning. Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification is the highest level of advanced investment education for client-facing advisors.
Less than 2 percent of U.S. financial planners hold both certifications.
In addition to being of value to work with someone who’s familiar with local laws and regulations, having a local advisor ensures someone is available to provide hands-on support on an ongoing basis — as well as when an emergency occurs, such as a spouse passing away.
We will work in conjunction with your CPA to ensure you are following the most tax-efficient strategy possible.
We will create a comprehensive financial plan and schedule regular communications to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You will be able to see your assets and goals using the latest technology available — and will have access to resources like Fidelity and other institutions anytime. We will serve as your financial concierge, helping you live your life easier and without worry.
We start by talking about whatever it is that inspired you to call. After that subject has been covered, we’ll share with you the top one to three things we think you should be thinking about. You are under no-obligation whatsoever to have any further communication with us.
Our ideal client has as least $500K in investable assets, and fits in one of the following buckets:
- I'm a Business Owner Nearing Retirement
Your path to retirement has a lot more moving pieces than someone who’s an employee. Do you have a succession plan? Will you be selling the business or passing the reins to someone else? Have you made plans to successfully retire? And more. - I am Getting Ready to Transition Into Retirement
This is when you’ll be making decisions that will tremendously affect your life in retirement. When should you begin Social Security? Do you have a cash cushion for emergencies? Will you have enough for your possible life expectancy? And more. - I’m Already Retired or I Relocated to the Carolinas
Your move could result in added complexity when it comes to your retirement, since state laws vary. Is your will updated? Do you need a doctor recommendation? Do you prefer dealing with someone local — who can be there if one spouse passes? And more.
